Hi,
We're a 35-person DevOps team (we call ourselves a "DevOps house", not an agency). Below you'll be able to find what we're looking for, and who we are (so you can decide if we're what you're looking for too). 😉
Sounds interesting, but you have questions? Email: [email protected]
We work with clients from startups to companies like World, AirHelp, TACEO, and SmartRecruiters. Our projects are infrastructure that actually has to work – there's no room for "almost works".
We don't do bodyleasing – we work as a team. We don't "send" people to clients, we build solutions together as a team.
This isn't a classic DBA role. You'll design, deploy, and operate production PostgreSQL environments – both cloud-managed and self-hosted – as part of our DevOps/Platform Engineering work, not as a siloed database function.
You'll own replication, backups, point-in-time recovery, and performance tuning, and help us build an internal PostgreSQL platform / Database-as-a-Service solution.
You'll work directly with clients and our DevOps team. No middlemen, no "pass it through the manager" – we work like adults.
We're 100% remote.
Strong production experience running and operating PostgreSQL.
Good working knowledge of SQL – you can read, analyse, and troubleshoot complex queries, not just write them.
Practical experience with execution plans, indexing, locking, transactions, and isolation levels.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting PostgreSQL replication (streaming and logical).
Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery.
Understanding of PostgreSQL internals – WAL, MVCC, vacuuming/autovacuum, checkpoints, connection management.
Experience running highly available, business-critical database environments.
Strong Linux systems engineering and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with AWS, including RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2, EBS, IAM, CloudWatch, and S3.
Strong Infrastructure as Code skills, preferably Terraform.
Automation skills – Go, Python, Bash, or honestly any language you're fluent in.
Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Polish C1 and English min. B2 (we work with international clients).
Experience running self-managed PostgreSQL clusters (AWS, private cloud, or on-prem).
Experience with Kubernetes and PostgreSQL operators (CloudNativePG, Zalando Postgres Operator, Crunchy Postgres for Kubernetes).
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or similar.
Knowledge of database security, encryption, access control, and secrets management.
Experience with major version upgrades, disaster recovery exercises, or multi-region database architectures.
Familiarity with other relational or distributed databases.
If you don't meet all requirements, we encourage you to apply anyway – it's always worth a shot!
You meet all requirements and then some, so you're interested in a higher budget offer? Apply! We're open to negotiation.
100% remote work.
Negotiable salary if you're really good.
Health insurance with PZU, fully covered by Let's Go DevOps.
PZU Sport card.
Development budget (courses, conferences, certifications – you decide).
Equipment budget.
We're waiting for your application!

In 1905, chief engineer John Stevens inherited one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in history: the Panama Canal.
The challenge wasn’t digging a ditch between two oceans. It was figuring out how to move ships safely through a system of locks, gates, reservoirs, and changing conditions without bringing global commerce to a halt.
The solution wasn’t to stop movement. It was to create a framework that allowed movement at scale.
Modern financial infrastructure presents a similar challenge. Payment systems, banking products, compliance obligations, and regulatory frameworks all exist for a reason. The goal isn’t to eliminate complexity. It’s to build systems that allow innovation, growth, and customer value within it.
Since 2019, Mercury has been on a mission to reinvent banking‡ for the modern age. We blend elegant design and cutting-edge technology to offer checking and savings accounts, debit cards, payment services, credit products, cash management tools, and sophisticated analytics. Everything we build reflects our belief that financial products should be thoughtfully crafted, fast, transparent, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
As we continue expanding and iterating on our product offerings and as we work to build a nationally chartered bank, we’re looking for a Counsel, Product & Regulatory (Payments & AML) to help us navigate increasingly complex questions at the intersection of product, regulation, and financial infrastructure.
Our Product & Regulatory Legal team operates like the rest of Mercury: with urgency, curiosity, and a bias toward action.
We embed with product teams from early ideation through launch, working alongside engineers, designers, compliance partners, operations teams, and risk stakeholders to get products right. We move fast, we take ownership, and we don’t wait to be asked. If something needs figuring out, we’re up to the task.
We are not a team that sits on the sidelines reviewing finished proposals. We work alongside our partners to identify risks, unlock opportunities, and find practical paths forward. We care deeply about good judgment, strong relationships, and building frameworks that scale.
Mercury is a place where lawyers are expected to have a point of view. Not just about what a regulation requires, but about how a product can meet that requirement in a way that’s thoughtful, scalable, and good for customers.
The people who thrive on this team treat ambiguity as an invitation rather than a reason to pause. They read a regulation and think about what it permits, not just what it prohibits. They understand that legal advice is most valuable when it helps the business make a decision, not when it simply identifies a risk.
You’ll also spend a meaningful amount of your time on work that may not look like traditional legal practice: helping scope cross-functional projects, pressure-testing product designs, navigating operational questions, and building processes alongside compliance and operational partners.
If you’re energized by that kind of work, and if you measure your impact by whether the product, process, or customer experience got better—not just whether the memo was technically correct—you’ll do well here.
This is an opportunity to join Mercury during a uniquely consequential period of growth.
You’ll help support existing products while contributing to the development of new capabilities as Mercury builds a nationally chartered bank. You’ll work alongside experienced legal, compliance, product, and banking professionals, gain exposure to a wide range of regulatory and product questions, and have meaningful ownership early in your career. You’ll also help shape how Mercury approaches payments and financial crimes legal support for years to come.
The total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.
Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
While we’ve received conditional approval to become a bank, Mercury today is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC. Investment advisory products and services offered by Mercury Advisory, LLC ("MA"), an SEC-registered investment adviser. MA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercury Technologies, Inc..
Mercury values diversity & belonging and is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All individuals seeking employment at Mercury are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected characteristic. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process for applicants with disabilities or special needs. If you need assistance, or an accommodation, please let your recruiter know once you are contacted about a role.

We are looking for a Tech Lead to take ownership of a delivery portfolio within a Manufacturing Engineering group that builds the data products the plant depends on. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on shipping and operating manufacturing data products in a validated production environment, while applying AI with sound judgment in a regulated context.
General information
This group builds manufacturing data products including real-time batch progression monitoring, process anomaly detection, and analytics that drive yield and throughput improvement. The team owns the data pipelines, cloud platform, environments, and delivery, and works closely with data science colleagues to define problems, provide data, and run the infrastructure required for production use.
The role leads a small, senior, multi-disciplinary team and carries accountability for what is shipped, when it is shipped, and how it performs in operation. The environment requires disciplined promotion from DEV to QA to PROD, with validation, change control, traceability, and documentation handled rigorously.
Tasks and Deliverables
- Own delivery of a portfolio of manufacturing data products from concept through validated production use.
- Lead a small, senior, multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, warehouse engineers, and full-stack developers.
- Solve technical issues that stall the team, including pipeline failures, warehouse performance and cost, data quality, integration with plant systems, and production incidents.
- Supervise progression from DEV to QA to PROD, ensuring validation, change control, traceability, and documentation are properly met.
- Partner with data science to frame solvable problems, provide well-understood data and environments, and assess whether models are fit for intended production use.
- Evaluate and introduce AI-assisted approaches to development, testing, documentation, and monitoring, with clear judgment on regulated-context limitations.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Product Architects to shape scope and sequencing, and communicate progress, risk, and trade-offs clearly.
- Produce architecture documentation, decision records, and operational runbooks that support long-term delivery and operations.
Required experience

- Hands-on AWS experience across compute, storage, orchestration, identity, and observability.
- Deep experience with a cloud data warehouse; Snowflake preferred.
- Fluency with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and structured environment promotion and release management.
- Working understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including model evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the judgment to challenge requests with better technical paths.
- Good understanding of agentic AI.
Nice to have
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GxP computerized system validation, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, or ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
